Soul of a Woman Conference — Website Terms & Conditions
Last updated: October 6, 2026
These Website Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the website for Soul of a Woman Conference 2027 (the "Website") and, when registration opens, your registration for or attendance at the conference (the "Conference").
The Conference is hosted by The Ark Church and Soul Sisters Ministry (collectively, the "Organizers"). The Conference is scheduled to take place October 15–17, 2027, in Durham, North Carolina.
By accessing or using the Website, and, when registration opens, registering for the Conference or purchasing a ticket, or by attending the Conference, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Website, register for or attend the Conference, or purchase a ticket when tickets become available.
1. Eligibility and Acceptance of Terms
You must provide accurate and complete information when using the Website or, when registration opens, registering for the Conference. If you register on behalf of another person, you represent that you are authorized to provide that person's information and accept these Terms on their behalf.
When registration opens, selecting an acceptance checkbox, clicking an "Accept," "Register," or similar button, completing a registration, purchasing a ticket, or attending the Conference will mean that you acknowledge you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms.
2. Conference Information
The Conference is intended to provide opportunities for worship, teaching, fellowship, encouragement, and spiritual development. Conference speakers, sessions, worship leaders, locations, times, activities, and other program details may be changed, postponed, or canceled when reasonably necessary.
The Organizers will make reasonable efforts to communicate significant schedule or program changes through the Website, email, social media, or other available communication channels. A change in speaker, session, activity, location, or schedule does not automatically entitle a ticket holder to a refund or exchange.
The Organizers do not guarantee any particular spiritual, emotional, educational, or personal result from attending the Conference.
3. Registration and Ticket Purchases
When registration opens, tickets will be subject to availability and considered purchased only after payment has been successfully processed and a confirmation has been issued.
When registration opens, you agree to: provide accurate registration and payment information; review your registration details before completing your purchase; keep your confirmation and ticket information secure; present valid proof of registration or a valid ticket when requested; and comply with any reasonable instructions provided by the Organizers, venue, or event staff.
The Organizers reserve the right to correct pricing, listing, or registration errors and to cancel or refuse a transaction affected by an obvious error, subject to applicable law.
When tickets become available through a third-party ticketing or payment platform, that platform's terms and policies may also apply. The Organizers are not responsible for technical failures, payment-processing errors, or service interruptions caused by a third-party platform.
4. No Refunds or Exchanges
When registration opens, ticket sales will generally be final. Tickets will be non-refundable and non-exchangeable, except where a refund or exchange is required by applicable law or is expressly authorized by the Organizers in writing.
When registration opens, no refunds or exchanges will generally be provided because of: a change in personal plans; travel delays or travel expenses; illness or inability to attend; a change in speaker, session, activity, or schedule; late arrival or early departure; failure to attend the Conference; or a decision not to participate in a particular Conference activity.
If the Conference is canceled, postponed, or materially altered, the Organizers will communicate any available remedies, including whether tickets may be honored for a rescheduled event or whether refunds will be offered. Unless otherwise required by law or expressly announced by the Organizers, the no-refund policy remains in effect.
5. Ticket Transfer and Resale
When registration opens, tickets for the Soul of a Woman Conference 2027 may be transferable. Ticket holders may transfer a ticket to another individual, provided the new attendee registers their name and contact information with The Ark Church before the event.
Tickets may not be resold, copied, duplicated, altered, or used for unauthorized promotional, advertising, sweepstakes, or commercial purposes. A ticket obtained through unauthorized resale, fraud, misrepresentation, or other improper means may be canceled without refund, and the holder may be denied admission.
If the Organizers permit a transfer, the original purchaser may be required to provide the recipient's information and remains responsible for compliance with these Terms unless the Organizers confirm otherwise in writing.
6. Admission and Event Conduct
The Organizers seek to provide a welcoming, safe, and respectful environment for all participants. By attending the Conference, you agree to conduct yourself in a manner consistent with Christian hospitality, respect, and consideration for others.
Attendees must not: harass, threaten, intimidate, abuse, or discriminate against another person; engage in violence, fighting, stalking, or disruptive conduct; use hateful, obscene, threatening, or abusive language toward attendees, speakers, staff, volunteers, or venue personnel; damage property or interfere with Conference operations; possess or use illegal drugs, weapons, or other prohibited items; attend while impaired in a manner that creates a safety concern; record, livestream, reproduce, or distribute Conference content in a manner prohibited by the Organizers or speakers; distribute unauthorized promotional materials or solicitations; or violate applicable law, venue rules, or reasonable instructions from Conference staff.
The Organizers may refuse admission to, remove, or ban any person whose conduct violates these Terms, creates a safety concern, disrupts the Conference, or negatively affects other participants. Removal or denial of admission for misconduct does not entitle the individual to a refund.
7. Voluntary Participation and Assumption of Risk
Attendance and participation in the Conference, including worship, prayer, group activities, movement-based activities, transportation arranged by an attendee, and other Conference-related activities, are voluntary.
You understand that participation may involve ordinary and reasonably foreseeable risks, including personal injury, illness, emotional distress, property loss, theft, accidents, or risks arising from the acts or omissions of other attendees, vendors, speakers, volunteers, venue personnel, or other third parties.
You voluntarily assume the risks associated with attending and participating in the Conference to the fullest extent permitted by law. You are responsible for making your own decisions about whether to participate in any activity and for informing appropriate Conference personnel of any relevant medical, accessibility, or safety concern.
The Conference is not a substitute for medical, mental-health, legal, financial, or other professional advice. You should seek advice from a qualified professional regarding your individual circumstances.
8. Release and Liability Disclaimer
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, you release and hold harmless The Ark Church, Soul Sisters Ministry, their respective leaders, employees, volunteers, representatives, contractors, speakers, vendors, sponsors, affiliated ministries, and the Conference venue from claims arising out of or relating to your access to the Website, registration for the Conference when registration opens, attendance at the Conference, or participation in Conference activities, including claims involving personal injury, illness, death, emotional distress, theft, or loss of or damage to personal property.
This release applies to claims arising from ordinary negligence to the extent permitted by law. It does not release claims that cannot lawfully be released, including claims arising from gross negligence, willful misconduct, fraud, or any other liability that applicable law prohibits the Organizers from excluding or limiting.
The Organizers are not responsible for loss, theft, or damage to personal belongings. Please keep personal property secure and do not bring valuables unnecessarily.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Organizers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost opportunities, loss of goodwill, or similar losses arising from or related to: your use of or inability to use the Website; your registration for the Conference when registration opens or attendance at the Conference; changes to or cancellation of Conference programming; personal injury, illness, or property loss; acts or omissions of third parties; website interruptions, errors, or security incidents; or any other matter relating to the Website or Conference.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the total liability of the Organizers for any claim arising out of or relating to the Website or Conference will not exceed the amount you paid directly to the Organizers for the applicable Conference ticket. These limitations do not apply to liability that cannot legally be limited or excluded.
10. Photography, Audio, and Video Recording
By attending the Conference, you understand and agree that the Organizers, or persons authorized by the Organizers, may photograph, film, livestream, or otherwise record the Conference and attendees.
You grant the Organizers and their authorized representatives a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free, irrevocable license to use, reproduce, edit, display, distribute, publish, and create derivative works from your name, image, likeness, voice, statements, and appearance as captured in connection with the Conference. These materials may be used in church communications, websites, social media, advertising, promotional materials, publications, livestreams, recordings, archives, and other ministry-related purposes, whether now known or later developed.
You understand that you will not receive compensation for these uses and that the Organizers are not required to provide advance notice or obtain additional approval for each use.
If you do not wish to be photographed or recorded, please notify Conference staff upon arrival and avoid designated photography, filming, livestreaming, or recording areas. Because attendees may appear incidentally in group images or background footage, the Organizers cannot guarantee that all incidental appearances can be removed from every recording or publication.
You may not photograph, record, livestream, reproduce, or distribute Conference presentations, worship services, teaching, or other content for commercial or unauthorized purposes without prior written permission from the Organizers and, where applicable, the relevant speaker or rights holder.
11. Intellectual Property
The Website and its content, including text, graphics, logos, photographs, videos, audio, designs, downloads, branding, compilations, and other materials, are owned by The Ark Church, Soul Sisters Ministry, or their respective licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.
Subject to these Terms, the Organizers grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the Website for personal, noncommercial purposes related to learning about and, when registration opens, registering for the Conference.
You may not, without prior written permission: copy, reproduce, republish, sell, license, or distribute Website content; modify, adapt, translate, or create derivative works from Website content; use the Organizers' names, logos, trademarks, or ministry materials for commercial purposes; remove copyright, trademark, or other proprietary notices; frame, mirror, or reproduce the Website or its content on another website; or use automated systems to scrape, harvest, or collect Website content.
All rights not expressly granted are reserved by the Organizers and their licensors.
12. Prohibited Website Use
You agree not to use the Website to: violate any applicable law or regulation; submit false, misleading, fraudulent, or unauthorized information; interfere with the Website's operation or security; introduce viruses, malware, malicious code, or other harmful material; attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Website, accounts, systems, or data; impersonate another person or organization; collect or use another person's information without authorization; engage in unauthorized commercial activity, advertising, or solicitation; upload or transmit content that is unlawful, threatening, abusive, defamatory, obscene, discriminatory, or infringing; or circumvent any access, security, registration, or ticketing controls.
The Organizers may suspend or terminate access to the Website without notice if they reasonably believe that these Terms have been violated.
13. Third-Party Websites and Services
The Website may contain links to third-party websites, ticketing platforms, payment processors, social-media pages, vendors, sponsors, or other services. These links are provided for convenience and do not constitute an endorsement or guarantee by the Organizers.
The Organizers do not control and are not responsible for third-party websites, services, content, privacy practices, availability, security, terms, or performance. Your use of a third-party website or service is governed by that third party's terms and policies.
14. Privacy
Information submitted through the Website, including through the 2027 interest form and, when registration opens, the Conference registration process, may be collected and used to communicate Conference information, administer registration, process payments, provide requested services, maintain records, and support the ministry activities of the Organizers.
Any separate privacy policy published on the Website is incorporated into these Terms by reference. If there is a conflict between these Terms and the privacy policy regarding the handling of personal information, the privacy policy will control for that subject.
15. Indemnification
To the fullest extent permitted by law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless The Ark Church, Soul Sisters Ministry, their respective leaders, employees, volunteers, representatives, contractors, speakers, vendors, sponsors, affiliated ministries, and venue personnel from and against claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising out of or related to: your violation of these Terms; your unlawful, negligent, reckless, or intentional conduct; your misuse of the Website; your violation of another person's rights; or your violation of applicable law or venue rules.
The Organizers reserve the right to assume exclusive control of the defense of any matter subject to indemnification. You agree to cooperate reasonably with that defense.
16. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms and any dispute arising out of or relating to the Website or Conference are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
Before filing a legal claim, you agree to contact the Organizers in writing using the contact information below and provide a reasonable opportunity—at least thirty days—to investigate and attempt to resolve the dispute informally.
If the dispute cannot be resolved informally, the parties agree to participate in good-faith mediation in Durham County, North Carolina, unless the parties agree otherwise. Each party will bear its own attorneys' fees and costs, and the parties will share the mediator's fee equally unless otherwise agreed.
If mediation does not resolve the dispute, any permitted court proceeding must be brought in the state or federal courts located in or serving Durham County, North Carolina, and you consent to the jurisdiction and venue of those courts.
Nothing in this section prevents either party from seeking temporary or emergency injunctive relief when necessary to protect its rights or prevent immediate harm. Nothing in these Terms limits rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be waived.
17. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is determined to be invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable, that provision will be modified or severed to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
18. Changes to These Terms
The Organizers may update or amend these Terms at any time. Updated Terms will be posted on the Website with a revised effective date. Changes will apply prospectively unless otherwise required by law. Your continued use of the Website, registration for the Conference when registration opens, or attendance at the Conference after updated Terms are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
19. No Waiver
The failure of the Organizers to enforce any provision of these Terms does not waive the Organizers' right to enforce that provision later or to enforce any other provision.
20. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with any registration terms, ticketing terms, privacy policy, venue rules, and other policies expressly incorporated by reference, constitute the entire agreement between you and the Organizers regarding your use of the Website and participation in the Conference.
These Terms replace any prior or contemporaneous agreements, communications, or understandings concerning the same subject matter, except for any separate written agreement expressly approved by the Organizers.
